Re-vamp an outside chair
I used an old duvet to make the inside and old curtains for the outside of this cover. Quite simply I laid the fabric to the chair, marked the cut line with a pen then cut it out. Now I had the pattern of the chair all I did was cut the backing and the duvet. I doubled the duvet to make it really soft, to secure the edges where the duvet has been cut just pull the outer fabric together and sew around with a zig-zag stitch to stop the stuffing falling out. I put a zip in the top portion and a couple of tabs to secure it to the chair. Now all you have to do is find a good book and sit back and relax.

Velcro on Mosquito Nets.
I know we don't get that many mosquito's in Lanzarote, but its not just the mossie's we want to keep out of our house's at night (if you know what I mean). So I made some Velcro on Mosquito Nets for our bedroom windows, it is such a simple idea but works so well. My windows open outwards so I've stuck the Velcro to the inner edge of the window, and sewn the other piece of Velcro to the netting. The result is lots of fresh air and No Bugs in the bedroom.
New cover for an old Ikea chair
Our old Ikea chair was looking pretty sad and grubby so when I bought material to make new curtains in the lounge I bought enough to make a nice new cover for the chair. The inside padding was a bit dirty (the chair came with the house when we bought it) so being ever the resourceful person that I am, I used an old duvet to make a nice soft inner padding, then made the cover with zips etc. so it can be taken off for washing. Looks good.
Dining chair cover
I made this dining chair cover for an old chair that sits in my bedroom and I am so pleased with it. From an old tatty pine chair with paint and scraps on it, it has been transformed to some thing that looks really nice. I can make this for you phone me for more details or leave a comment.
